As part of our continued commitment to sustainability, we’re proud to partner with The Furniture Trust, a nonprofit organization dedicated to repurposing furniture into community assets. Operating across North America, The Furniture Trust works to connect unneeded office furnishings with schools, nonprofits, and other organizations that can put them to good use.

Whenever we undergo an office renovation or move, The Furniture Trust visits our site to assess the available inventory. While we don’t always know in advance what items will be accepted, their team works to identify recipients who can benefit most, helping ensure that furniture is repurposed rather than sent to landfills.

A recent example of this work took place at our Los Angeles Operations, where we have two phases of donations with the remodel of two floors at the facility. Phase I donations have already been collected and donated to two different school districts, LA Unified School District and Pacific Palisades. Phase II is expected to begin around September of this year. See below for photos of donations to Palisades Charter High School in Woodland Hills, CA, where our gently used furniture found a second life supporting this educational space that was impacted by the recent wildfire event, leaving the school with no usable furniture.  Through this effort, we aim to reduce waste, extend the life of our office resources, and support local communities.

Key Metrics

  • The weight of the furniture diverted from a landfill was 56,490 pounds.

  • The fair market value of the donation was $117,760.00

  • People affected by this donation was 3,030 people
