After witnessing perfectly good office furniture being discarded, John envisioned a solution that would both protect the environment and strengthen communities. Inspired by the simple yet powerful idea of “there has to be a better way” and partnering with Christine, he transformed this vision into action by establishing The Furniture Trust in 2008.

John remains a passionate advocate for sustainable business practices that create lasting community impact. He serves as Director of Projects, leveraging his years of industry expertise to refine processes, direct projects, and manage client relations. His belief that sustainability and community benefit can go hand in hand continues to guide The Trust’s mission today.
